LA Kings Visit MacArthur Classroom

Students from MacArthur Elementary School and members of LA Kings

Members of the Los Angeles Kings organization recently visited a fourth grade classroom at MacArthur Elementary School as part of a sweepstakes contest.

Teacher John Solomon of MacArthur was named the winner of the LA Kings New Era Cap Sweepstakes, making it possible for students to meet a player of the professional ice hockey team.

LA Kings goaltender Cam Talbot, broadcast analyst Daryl Evans and mascot Bailey the Lion made a memorable appearance during a visit to Mr. Solomon’s classroom in early January.

The students received baseball caps that were autographed by Talbot and Evans. Students also interacted with and received autographs from Bailey the Lion.

The visit was inspiring for the students as they received valuable life lessons and motivational words from the organization's members.

“Cam Talbot, the goalie, talked to the kids and gave them [really great] advice to keep a positive growth mindset and follow your dreams,” shared Mr. Solomon.
